Core Concepts in LearningFlow
To get the most from LearningFlow, it helps to understand a few foundational concepts that shape the platform.
Spaces: Personal vs. Organization
Every user gets a Personal Space by default after sign-up.
- Personal Space:
- Your private workspace with its own Library, Explore, and Assignment sections.
- Flows and assignments here are yours—until you share them or invite others.
When you join an Organization, you can switch to that group’s shared space:
- Organization Space:
- A collaborative workspace for your school, company, or teaching team.
- Separate library, explore section (with org-specific tools), and assignment workspace.
You can switch between Personal and Organization spaces at any time.
Main Platform Features
Library
Think of this as your “Google Drive”—store, organize, and access all your flows (apps), templates, and resources.
Explore
A curated catalog of pre-built, ready-to-use tools—ranging from worksheet generators to advanced AI bots. Browse and “install” these into your own Library or Organization.
Assignments
Turn a flow into an “assignment”. Generate a join link or code to share with students. Assignments have built-in analytics and support for different payment/credit modes (personal or organizational wallet).
Roles
- Editor: Build, manage, and assign content (all access in Editor and Flow Exchange).
- Viewer: View and participate in assignments (accessed via link or code).
- Organization Admin: Manage organization workspace, memberships, credit/wallet, integrations.
Flows
A Flow is a sequence of building blocks—called nodes—that define an interactive learning application.
- Made with a visual, drag-and-drop editor (no coding required).
- Can include quizzes, AI conversations, multimedia, logic, and more.
Nodes
The “building blocks” of every flow. Nodes do things like: show content, take input, branch paths, call AI, or integrate with outside systems (e.g., H5P, YouTube, web crawling).
See: the Nodes section for a full reference.
Assets
A catch-all term for libraries, flows, assignment templates, and anything you store or share on LearningFlow. Assets can be personal, organizational, or shared through Flow Exchange.
Flow Exchange
A public marketplace of flows—browse, review, and use learning experiences created by other educators.
Credits & Payments
LearningFlow uses a credit system:
- Personal wallet for individual users.
- Organizational wallet for shared/managed teams.
-
- Credits are used mainly for AI-powered or premium features (details in Credit & Billing).
Switching Spaces
Switch seamlessly between your personal area and any organizations you belong to. Each “space” has its own library, explore catalog, and assignments—you’ll always know where you are working or assigning!
Integrations
You can extend LearningFlow with:
- H5P and interactive nodes
- xAPI, SCORM, LTI for LMS/analytics interoperability
- SSO for organization-wide secure login
